Prof. Wim Ceelen is Medical Advisor to UPyTher and a globally recognized expert in surgical oncology and intraperitoneal drug delivery. He serves as staff surgeon at Ghent University Hospital, Full Professor of Surgical Oncology, and Director of the Laboratory of Experimental Surgery at Ghent University. With more than two decades of clinical and translational research experience, he has led numerous international clinical trials and co-authored over 250 scientific publications. His expertise focuses on peritoneal surface malignancies and innovative drug delivery approaches. At UPyTher, Prof. Ceelen supports the clinical translation of the company’s hydrogel-based therapies by providing strategic insight into the peritoneal microenvironment, surgical considerations, and intraperitoneal drug delivery dynamics.
