Prof. Patricia Dankers

Prof. Patricia Dankers co-founded UPyTher in 2021 and remains committed to the company as Scientific Advisor providing scientific guidance for the continued advancement of the company’s hydrogel formulation platform. She is one of the key inventors behind UPyTher’s proprietary technology and is named inventor on the company’s patent portfolio. Internationally recognized for her pioneering work in biomaterials and her expertise in supramolecular polymers and bio-inspired materials forms the scientific foundation of UPyTher’s platform. Prof. Dankers is Professor of Biomedical Materials & Chemistry at Eindhoven University of Technology and has published more than 150 scientific papers. She holds numerous patents and a co-founded multiple biotech ventures translating academic science into clinical innovation. She has received several prestigious scientific awards and is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
