Joris Schillemans supports the development and optimization of UPyTher’s hydrogel-based therapies as CMC Manager. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics and has more than 10 years of experience in formulation and process development for complex injectables and advanced drug delivery systems. Prior to joining UPyTher, he held key positions at OctoPlus, Dr. Reddy’s, and Micreos Pharma. His expertise includes Quality by Design (QbD), design of experiments (DoE), scale-up, GMP manufacturing, and tech transfer. At UPyTher, Joris manages CMC development activities for UPT-211 and additional pipeline programs, focusing on reproducibility, scalability, and product quality. His hands-on and detail-oriented approach strengthens the company’s path toward clinical manufacturing.
