Helmuth van Es serves as Strategic Business Advisor to UPyTher, contributing more than 30 years of experience in life sciences, biotech entrepreneurship, and executive leadership. He co-founded Galapagos and four additional biotech companies, several of which have advanced into clinical development. As former CEO of Citryll, he guided the company’s first-in-class NETosis inhibitor program to clinical proof-of-concept and helped raise substantial investment capital across multiple ventures. Helmuth has also served on boards of Antabio, Spinnovation, Audion Therapeutics, and Hifibio. He recently joined the Curie Capital Investment Committee and the Board of Directors of Cantoni Therapeutics. His broad expertise in company building, fundraising, and therapeutic development across oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases supports UPyTher’s growth and business development initiatives.
