Head of Non-Clinical Development

Danny Burg leads toxicology and non-clinical development activities at UPyTher. He brings more than 20 years of experience in oncology drug development, toxicology, and biomarker research. His career includes research positions at Leiden University and the Netherlands Cancer Institute, followed by 12 years at Astellas Pharma, where he served as lead toxicologist on multiple successful global marketing authorization programs. Danny has extensive expertise across all phases of drug development, including bioanalysis, drug metabolism, environmental risk assessment, and regulatory submissions such as INDs, CTAs, NDAs, BLAs, and MAAs. His strong background in oncology and translational drug development supports the safe and efficient advancement of UPyTher’s therapeutic programs.
